Hwajin Lee is an interdisciplinary artist based in Seoul, South Korea. Hwajin graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Installation Arts and a minor in Physics.

In her sculptural practice, Hwajin uses clay and wood to recreate traditional Korean design elements, furniture, and architecture. She adds modern aesthetics to her sculptures through bold colors, unprecedented materials, light, and personal anecdotes.

In her public art projects, Hwajin actively engages with the CMU community—which she has been a part of for four years- and extracts interesting public responses.

Hwajin broadens her subject matter by studying the fundamentals of Design and Architecture. With creative thinking and diligence at her heart, Hwajin aspires to produce creative art and content for a bigger audience.
